Union, New Jersey, United States, April 2025 – Joseph M. has been appointed as Vice President Human Resources at Kean University, New Jersey’s third-largest public university known for its excellence in academics and commitment to student success. In his new role, Joseph will lead the university’s human resources strategy and operations, supporting Kean’s mission to cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing academic community.
Prior to joining Kean University, Joseph M. served as Executive Director Human Resources at Middlesex College for nearly six years, where he led the HR function in supporting the institution’s workforce through strategic HR initiatives, employee engagement, and compliance management.
Before his tenure at Middlesex College, Joseph held leadership roles at The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, serving as Manager Total Rewards and Employee Benefits Manager, overseeing benefits for over 30,000 employees and retirees and leading multiple modernization initiatives in employee wellness and benefits optimization.
Earlier, he was associated with Rutgers University, where he contributed as Director, Benefits and Wellness and Senior Consulting Business Analyst, playing a critical role in HR systems integration and benefits administration during major institutional transitions. His journey also includes valuable early experiences at Caldwell University and in project roles with The Port Authority.
