Calgary, Alberta, Canada, February 2026 — Kateryna Gorlai has started a new role as Director, People at Product Calgary. In this role, she is focused on building people practices that support a growing product community, strengthening engagement, and enabling inclusive, high-impact collaboration across Calgary’s product ecosystem.
In her current appointment at Product Calgary, Kateryna brings a people-first mindset grounded in product thinking. Her work centers on community growth, capability building, and creating environments where product professionals can learn, connect, and thrive.
Alongside this role, Kateryna is Co-founder and Head of IT Consulting at Constanta Business Group, where she helps organizations align technology, people, and delivery through advisory and consulting engagements. She also serves as an Employer Relations Specialist / Job Developer at the Centre for Newcomers, contributing to employer engagement and digital transformation initiatives that improve job matching and reduce service wait times.
Previously, Kateryna has worked extensively as a Product Manager across freelance and co-op roles, including engagements with ArtCode and Labour Lend, where she led roadmap development, facilitated cross-functional delivery, and validated MVPs through market research and early adopter feedback.
Earlier in her career, Kateryna spent over a decade in software and product leadership with Advanced Software Development (ASD Ltd) in Ukraine, progressing from frontend development and QA into project management and ultimately Head of Product Research & Development. During this period, she drove major improvements in employee satisfaction, delivery speed, and product discovery practices. She also founded Blue House Vacation Rental, applying product, hospitality, and technology expertise to scale a guest-focused business.
