New York City, New York, United States, September 2025 — Kathy Butcher has stepped into a new role as Director of People Support at The Manner, bringing with her a strong legacy of people-centric leadership across the hospitality sector. In her new capacity, Kathy will oversee the strategic direction of employee engagement, talent operations, and workforce support for The Manner’s growing team.
Prior to joining The Manner, Kathy served as Assistant Director of People Operations at 1 Hotels in Brooklyn, where she led initiatives in labor relations, recruitment, coaching, and employee relations to foster an inclusive and high-performing workplace.
Before that, she was the Senior Human Resources Manager at Bar Lab Hospitality Group in Williamsburg, where she managed HR functions for a fast-paced hospitality environment, focusing on team culture, compliance, and talent development.
Earlier in her career, Kathy worked at Olive Tree Holdings as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, and at Ennismore as Payroll Manager, North America, where she was responsible for overseeing payroll operations across the region and ensuring compliance across multiple hospitality entities.
She also spent over 14 years at Highgate, where she rose through roles such as Credit Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, and Area Payroll Manager, gaining invaluable experience in financial operations and hotel management. Her early roles at Hilton Times Square and PBX operations helped lay the foundation for her commitment to excellence in hospitality HR.
