Latvia, December 2025 — Kristiāna Semikina has been appointed as Director – Talent Acquisition at GoCardless, marking a significant leadership addition to the global payments technology company. In her new role, Kristiāna will lead GoCardless’ global talent acquisition strategy, strengthening workforce capability, employer branding, and scalable hiring infrastructure to support the company’s rapid international growth.
Kristiāna joins GoCardless after nearly four years with EIS Ltd, where she served as Talent Acquisition / Recruitment Manager – EMEA, leading senior and niche hiring across multiple geographies. During her tenure, she built scalable hiring frameworks, introduced OKR-driven recruitment governance, strengthened employer branding, and implemented data-driven and AI-enabled sourcing practices that significantly improved hiring efficiency, time-to-fill, and candidate experience across highly competitive technology markets.
Prior to EIS, she spent over three years with Eleving Group as Group Talent Lead, overseeing group-wide talent attraction, development, employer branding, ATS implementation, onboarding, EVP design, and leadership development across five headquarters and operations spanning 17 countries. Her work helped institutionalise talent pipelines, unify global recruitment governance, and strengthen people development architecture for one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintech groups.
Earlier, Kristiāna held key talent leadership roles at Accenture and WorkingDay, managing large-scale technology hiring, recruitment marketing, employer branding, GDPR for HR implementation, leadership workshops, and relocation programs, while also building her foundation in executive search and recruitment consulting in the Baltic and European markets.
Alongside her corporate leadership career, Kristiāna has been an active counselling supervisor and career counselor for several years, providing individual and group supervision, career guidance, and leadership development programs—bringing a strong human-centric lens to modern talent acquisition and organisational capability building.
Kristiāna holds a Master’s Degree in Management Science, Management Psychology and Supervision from RISEBA University of Applied Sciences, strengthening her ability to integrate behavioural science, leadership psychology, and organisational supervision into contemporary talent strategy.
