Frisco, Texas, United States, August 2025 – Lindsay Dowdy has been appointed as Chief People Officer at the Dallas Stars, marking the latest milestone in her more than two-decade career in human resources. In her new role, Dowdy will lead all HR functions for the organization, focusing on talent strategy, employee engagement, organizational development, and fostering a high-performance culture to support the Stars’ on- and off-ice success.
Dowdy’s journey with the Dallas Stars spans over a decade, where she has demonstrated steady and impactful leadership. Most recently, she served for three years as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, where she oversaw strategic HR initiatives, talent development, and cultural transformation. Prior to that, she spent four years as Vice President of Human Resources and three years as Director of Human Resources, where she played a key role in building HR infrastructure, enhancing employee experience, and supporting organizational growth.
Before joining the Stars, Dowdy was Director of Human Resources at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park for nearly three years. In this role, she managed all aspects of HR operations, from recruitment and compliance to benefits administration, while fostering a collaborative and high-energy work environment.
Earlier in her career, she worked as Human Resources Benefits Coordinator at Texas Disposal Systems, and before that, she served for more than five years as Payroll/HR Specialist at Symon Communications, where she managed payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations for a nationwide workforce. She began her career as a Recruiter with Stryden Staffing, handling full-cycle hiring and client management.
