Manila, Philippines, July 2025 — Ma. Lovella Macatangay, CPHR has stepped into the role of Head of Human Resources for the Pernod Ricard Philippines and Indonesia Cluster, marking a significant milestone in her accomplished HR leadership journey. In this newly expanded regional role, she will oversee strategic HR functions, talent management, and organizational development across both markets, strengthening the Group’s people-first culture in Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Pernod Ricard, Lovella served as Head of Human Resources – Philippines at The Estée Lauder Companies, where she led end-to-end HR operations and strategic people initiatives for nearly two years. Her tenure was marked by impactful talent acquisition strategies and people-centered culture transformation in the beauty and retail industry.
Lovella also spent close to two years at SM Retail, where she held dual roles—first as Senior Human Resources Manager for Operations and Compliance, and later as Talent Acquisition Lead. Her work during this period focused on integrating HR technology systems, aligning business goals with recruitment and retention strategies, and navigating the challenges of large-scale organizational compliance.
Previously, she served for over four years as Senior HR Manager and HR Business Partner at SM Mart, Inc., where she was instrumental in driving HR analytics, communication programs, and performance management. Her early career foundation was built across respected academic institutions such as FEU Institute of Technology, where she directed industry-academe linkage and placement efforts, and De La Salle Philippines, where she served as HR Officer and Unit Head, gaining a solid grounding in policy, financial analysis, and employee engagement.
