Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 — Maithilee Pathare Mistry has been elevated as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel at Abbott India, marking a significant leadership transition at one of India’s leading healthcare companies. With over two decades of rich experience in finance, treasury, and strategic management across global corporations, Maithilee brings a unique blend of regional insight and international financial acumen to her new role.
Prior to this elevation, Maithilee held the position of CFO at Opella Healthcare, a Sanofi company, where she was instrumental in steering financial strategy and governance. She also served as Treasury Director at Dow in the United States, managing global funding, liquidity solutions, corporate banking, and capital project evaluations. Her expertise in trade finance, risk management, and corporate treasury played a crucial role in ensuring financial agility and compliance for the global chemical major.
Maithilee also held key roles at Dow Chemical International Private Limited in India, including Finance Director – India Subcontinent and Financial Controller, overseeing financial operations for multiple entities. Her responsibilities spanned treasury, tax planning, statutory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and digitization of finance processes. She served on the boards of Dow AgroSciences India Pvt. Ltd. and Multibase India Ltd., a BSE-listed entity, reflecting her experience with both private and public companies.
Earlier in her career, Maithilee worked with Omya India Pvt. Ltd., Cognis, and Deloitte India, where she began her professional journey in the statutory audit practice. At Omya, she served as Head of Finance and Controlling – West Asia, managing finance, HR, legal, and IT functions across the region.
A Chartered Accountant, Maithilee has built a reputation for excellence in strategic financial leadership, cross-functional governance, and transformative project execution. Her appointment as CFO at Abbott India comes at a time when the company continues to expand its portfolio and strengthen its leadership in the Indian healthcare market.
