Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2025 – Malini Rao has been appointed as the Global Head of Cybersecurity Product Operations at Haleon, where she will focus on strengthening security frameworks, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with global cybersecurity standards. With over two decades of expertise in cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance, she brings a wealth of knowledge in AI governance, cloud security, IT risk management, and identity and access management.
Before joining Haleon, Malini was the Chief Information Security Officer at DeepLearnCyber.AI, where she led AI-driven cybersecurity initiatives and managed teams of cybersecurity professionals, AI and ML engineers, and software developers. Her role involved developing AI-specific cybersecurity solutions, ensuring compliance, and overseeing cybersecurity risk management. Additionally, she has been an active mentor and advisor in the cybersecurity community, contributing to organizations like World Wide Women in Cyber Security (W3-CS), ISSA, and WiCyS.
Prior to DeepLearnCyber.AI, Malini served as Global Head of Enterprise Cybersecurity Engineering, Operations & Data Protection at Wipro, where she played a crucial role in cyber defense, threat intelligence, cloud security, and risk management. She has also held leadership roles at Medtronic, Deutsche Bank, and Mindtree, overseeing global cybersecurity strategies, governance, risk, and compliance operations. Her extensive background includes expertise in cyber crisis management, digital transformation, and next-gen security operations.
Malini holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and has completed executive education programs at Harvard University (Cybersecurity & Risk Management), The Wharton School (Operations & Information Management), and the Indian School of Business (Global CIO Program). Her CISSP, CCISO, and AWS certifications further demonstrate her commitment to cybersecurity excellence.
