Australia July 2025 — Mandy Mirghashini has begun a new chapter as Executive Director, Global People Relationship Management at Bristol Myers Squibb, one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies dedicated to transforming patients’ lives through science.

In her new position, Mandy will be responsible for establishing and leading a newly formed team of People Consultants focused on elevating the employee experience across all digital and in-person touchpoints globally. Her mandate includes shaping how employees interact with HR, designing seamless and personalized experiences that reflect Bristol Myers Squibb’s commitment to innovation and inclusivity.

Mandy joined Bristol Myers Squibb in 2021 and has steadily progressed through a series of senior leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Executive Director, HR Capability Centres (EMEA & APAC) & Global Core HR, overseeing capability development and operational excellence across key regions. Earlier, as Director, APAC HR Capability Centre, she led regional HR service delivery transformation.

Prior to Bristol Myers Squibb, Mandy built a distinguished career at Shell, spanning over 22 years across Australia, Europe, and Asia in roles such as Head of HR Mergers and Acquisitions, HR Transformation Lead, and HR Services Director, where she spearheaded complex change management, cultural transformation, and capability-building initiatives.

Mandy began her HR journey at BHP Billiton. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics from Monash University.

Her appointment underscores Bristol Myers Squibb’s continued focus on reimagining people practices to drive engagement, performance, and growth at a global scale.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
