Oxford, England, United Kingdom, February 2025 – Matthew Wethey has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer at Ryze Power Group, where he will lead the company’s financial strategy, capital management, and growth initiatives as it continues to expand its hydrogen and alternative fuel infrastructure across the UK.
Matthew brings extensive financial leadership experience in the energy, technology, and industrial sectors. Most recently, he served as Interim Group Finance Director at HydraB, where he oversaw the financial strategy for a portfolio of net-zero-focused companies, including Ryze Power, Hygen, and Wrightbus. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer at EnSilica, where he played a key role in the company’s IPO, securing multiple rounds of funding, and driving revenue growth.

Earlier in his career, Matthew held a long tenure at PV Crystalox Solar plc, serving as CFO and Group Secretary, where he managed the company’s financial operations, investor relations, and corporate restructuring efforts. He also held key financial leadership roles at Cosine UK Limited and British American Tobacco, where he developed strategic financial models, optimized working capital, and led financial reporting initiatives.
