Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – BDO in India has announced the appointment of Mitu Seth as Partner & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). With over 24 years of HR leadership experience, she brings a proven track record of strategic HR execution across the manufacturing, banking, and financial services sectors. In her new role, Mitu will oversee talent strategy, workforce development, and HR transformation, ensuring that BDO India continues to cultivate an inclusive, high-performing, and people-centric workplace.
Mitu joins BDO in India from Kotak Mahindra Bank, where she served as Senior Executive Vice President – Human Resources. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in driving talent acquisition, HR technology implementation, and organisational diagnostics, aligning HR strategies with business growth. Prior to that, she was the Managing Director & Head of Human Resources at BNP Paribas India Solutions, where she led complex workforce transformations, M&A integrations, and diversity initiatives, ensuring seamless business transitions while maintaining employee engagement.
Before BNP Paribas, Mitu held leadership roles at Deutsche Bank Group as Vice President, Head of Talent Acquisition & Presiding Officer ICC, where she was instrumental in workforce planning, talent retention strategies, and employer branding initiatives. She also spent nearly four years at Religare, where she served as Executive Vice President, HR, leading HR strategy, sourcing, and digital HR transformation. Her early career includes HR leadership roles at Siemens and eFunds, where she built and scaled HR programs that contributed to business growth and operational efficiency.
In her new role at BDO in India, Mitu will focus on strategic HR transformation, talent development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring that the organisation continues to attract, retain, and develop top talent. With her expertise in succession planning, organisational restructuring, and employee well-being, she will play a key role in strengthening BDO’s HR framework and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth.
