Gurugram, Haryana, India, December 2025 – Mukta Nakra has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources at Crocs India, where she will spearhead the company’s people strategy, culture design, capability-building, and organizational growth initiatives. She joins Crocs at a time of accelerated expansion and will play a critical role in strengthening its talent strategy and aligning it with the company’s bold, inclusive vision.
Mukta transitions into this role after an impactful seven-year stint at Marks and Spencer Reliance India Ltd., where she led HR and Sustainability for over 100 retail stores and digital operations across 37 cities. As part of the India Leadership Team, she drove transformational programs in leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, digital HR capabilities, and ESG impact—helping improve the company’s GPTW ranking significantly.
Prior to that, she served as Talent Director – APAC and HRBP Lead India at Wiley, where she shaped talent strategy across high-growth Asian markets and supported the company’s digital pivot in publishing. Before Wiley, she was Director – Market HR at American Express, leading enterprise-wide learning, HiPo acceleration, and talent frameworks for 12,000+ employees.
Mukta’s earlier HR leadership experiences at Walmart included end-to-end corporate HR, total rewards, and talent initiatives across Retail and Cash & Carry formats in India. Her earlier stints at ABN AMRO Bank, Tecnovate eSolutions, and Hewlett Packard helped her build a strong foundation in C&B, HR systems, and large-scale transformation.
She is an alumna of Harvard Business School’s Process and Partnership Excellence Program, and holds an MBA in International Business from AIMA and a Master’s in Economics from Annamalai University.
