Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom, January 2025 – Nick Treston has commenced his new role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at activpayroll, a global leader in payroll, HCM, and mobility solutions. With a proven track record in financial strategy and private equity-backed growth, Treston is set to steer activpayroll’s financial strategy and operational excellence as the company continues its global expansion.
Nick joins activpayroll after serving as CFO at Mobysoft Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s evolution. Over five years, he established a robust finance function, partnered with leadership to drive business growth, and managed the successful sale of the business to a second private equity investor.
Prior to Mobysoft, he was CFO at Achilles Information Ltd, a private equity-backed group. During his tenure, Nick implemented NetSuite across the organization, enhancing financial insights and operational controls.
In an earlier role as CFO at SD Worx UK & Ireland, Nick successfully transitioned the business from Ceridian after its acquisition by SD Worx. He leveraged his expertise to drive financial oversight and business integration, cementing the company’s growth trajectory.
Nick also served as CFO at Ceridian, where he managed financial functions across the UK, Ireland, North America, and Mauritius. His tenure included the sale of the business to SD Worx, demonstrating his acumen in mergers and acquisitions.
