Cambridgeshire, England, United Kingdom, December 2025 — Nicola Walker has started a new position as Group Chief Pharmacist at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. In her new role, she will work closely with colleagues across the Trust and wider healthcare network to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care, supporting excellence in medicines management and community-based pharmacy leadership.
Before taking on her new role, Nicola Walker served as Regional Head of Pharmacy at Circle Health Group, where she supported pharmacy services and medicines management processes across facilities nationwide. Over approximately four and a half years, she led regulatory compliance planning, streamlined workflows, mentored staff, handled complex investigations, and strengthened clinical governance to ensure hospital sites achieved high standards in regulatory assessments. Her work contributed significantly to patient safety, quality outcomes, and operational consistency across the organization.
Prior to Circle Health Group, Nicola spent over eight years at BMI Healthcare as Clinical Services Manager – Pharmacy and Oncology. During this period, she led pharmacy and oncology services while strengthening patient safety, antimicrobial stewardship, leadership development, and policy implementation. Her responsibilities spanned service delivery, clinical governance, multidisciplinary collaboration, and education—helping shape high-quality care within the organization.
Before joining BMI Healthcare, Nicola expanded her leadership experience as Superintendent Pharmacist at TPS Healthcare Group Ltd. Over approximately four years, she guided pharmacy operations with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, patient safety, policy writing, and medicines management, further strengthening her expertise as a senior pharmacy leader.
Nicola began her career journey with significant foundational experience at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she served for approximately nine years as Lead Pharmacist for Medicine & Formulary. Prior to that, she gained early clinical exposure as a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, building her clinical pharmacy expertise across multiple specialties.
