Gurugram, Haryana, India, July 2025 – Nikhil Marwaha has been appointed as Partner at Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India (VVSEAI), marking a significant milestone in his accomplished career in venture capital and growth equity. In his new role, Nikhil will play a key part in leading investments, scaling portfolio companies, and shaping innovation across sectors in the Southeast Asia and India region.
Prior to this, Nikhil served as Executive Director at Vertex Ventures, where he spent nearly three years evaluating early-stage opportunities and building strategic value across the firm’s investments in India. His contributions were instrumental in strengthening the firm’s presence in India’s dynamic startup ecosystem.
Before joining Vertex, Nikhil worked at Avendus Capital as Director – Investments, where he brought his extensive growth equity experience to drive investments and scale entrepreneurial ventures.
Earlier, Nikhil was Principal at MegaDelta Capital, where over a span of four years, he focused on mid-market investments in healthcare, enterprise tech, and consumer sectors. His earlier stint at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), lasting over six years, further deepened his investment acumen, especially in high-growth startups.
Nikhil’s career also includes key roles at Baring Private Equity Partners, Alvarez & Marsal, Goldman Sachs, and Inductis, adding a strong foundation in private equity, operational consulting, and financial analysis. He holds an MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
