New Delhi, Delhi, India, February 2026 — Hotel Corporation of India Limited (HCI), a subsidiary of AI Assets Holding Limited, has announced that Nishi Singh has started a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this senior leadership role, she will be responsible for shaping the HR strategy and strengthening people practices aligned with the organization’s evolving priorities and transformation journey.
With a long and distinguished career spanning over three decades, Nishi Singh brings deep expertise in strategic HR leadership, talent management, employee engagement, industrial relations, policy formulation, CSR, and organizational development. Her appointment is expected to further strengthen HCI’s people leadership capabilities as the organization continues to advance its legacy as one of India’s most established hospitality institutions.
Before joining Hotel Corporation of India Limited, Nishi Singh spent nearly 5 years with NTPC Limited, where she held leadership roles across HR and governance. She served as Additional General Manager (Vigilance) for nearly 2 years, handling vigilance administration and policy matters, preventive vigilance, training & development, and facilitating a recognition for NTPC in vigilance function by the Chief Vigilance Commission. Prior to that, she worked as Additional General Manager (HR) for over 2 years at the Jhanor Gandhar Gas Power Project (Gujarat), leading the HR department with a focus on HR strategy alignment, employee engagement, talent management, performance management, stakeholder management, welfare, industrial relations, and impactful CSR initiatives, for which she received awards in HR and CSR.
Earlier, she served for close to 1 year as Additional General Manager (HR) at Nabinagar Power Generation Company Ltd (NPGCL), Bihar, a subsidiary of NTPC, where she contributed to strategic HR functions, change management, culture building, contract labor management, HRD, welfare, brand building, and liaison with state authorities, along with supporting business excellence assessment initiatives.
She also spent over 8 years in NTPC’s senior HR leadership roles, including serving as Additional General Manager (HR) at NTPC Eastern Region Headquarters, Patna, where she led strategic HR and talent management, oversaw CSR for five NTPC stations in the Eastern Region, and spearheaded a business excellence assignment that improved station ratings. Prior to this, she worked for more than 5 years at NTPC Energy Technology and Research Alliance (NETRA), Greater Noida, progressing from Deputy General Manager (HR) to Additional General Manager (HR), heading HR for the research wing and driving policy formulation, learning & development, and enterprise HR systems tailored to scientists and technical talent.
In the earlier phase of her NTPC career, she served as Senior Manager (HR) at NTPC Electric Supply Company Limited (NESCL), Noida, where she led manpower planning, recruitment, performance management, and policy formulation. She also worked with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), Delhi as Senior Manager (HR) with focus on employee development and delivery improvement across HR functions. She began her professional journey at NTPC as an Executive Trainee, later serving in roles from Personnel Officer to Manager (HR) at NTPC Southern Region Headquarters, Hyderabad, gaining strong foundational experience across employee development, employee benefits, performance management, industrial relations, and welfare.
Nishi Singh has completed a three-year “Customized HR Competency Framework & Certification Program” in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s most respected institutions for HR education and leadership development.
