Orion Innovation Appoints Garima Singh as Chief People Officer

Edison, New Jersey, United States, November 2024 – Orion Innovation, a leading global digital transformation and product development services firm, has announced the appointment of Garima Singh as its Chief People Officer (CPO). In her new role, Singh will spearhead Orion’s global HR strategy, overseeing people engagement, talent acquisition, and employee development, while fostering a growth-focused and innovative organizational culture.

With over 20 years of experience in human resources and business operations, Singh brings a wealth of expertise to Orion. During her 15-year tenure at Persistent Systems, she held pivotal roles, including North America HR Head and Global Sales HR Leader, where she contributed significantly to the company’s exponential growth. Her responsibilities included building a global compensation and benefits team and driving strategic sales and leadership hiring programs that supported Persistent’s rapid expansion.

“Garima brings exceptional leadership skills and deep expertise in scaling global technology organizations,” said Brian Bronson, CEO of Orion. “Her proven track record in designing and implementing organizational compensation plans that drive profitable growth is instrumental to Orion’s vision of global expansion and enhanced capabilities.”

Prior to her corporate career, Singh served as an officer in the Indian Armed Forces, where she developed strong leadership, teamwork, and integrity values. This unique background informs her approach to organizational leadership and her ability to build high-performing teams.

Singh holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering and a post-graduate diploma in business management, specializing in Human Resources. She also earned a PG certification in Human Resources from XLRI School of Management, India.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
