Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Pradeep Agrawal has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel at Mahindra Finance, effective March 5, 2025. With over 28 years of experience in financial leadership, Pradeep has held key roles at Aditya Birla Group, Idea Cellular Ltd, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. In his new role, he will lead financial strategy, treasury, risk management, and regulatory compliance, supporting Mahindra Finance’s expansion and operational excellence.
Before joining Mahindra Finance, Pradeep Agrawal spent over eight years at Aditya Birla Group, where he most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at Aditya Birla Finance Limited. He played a pivotal role in corporate treasury management, financial reporting, and strategic planning. Prior to this, he was Head of Treasury and Investor Relations at Grasim Industries Limited, where he managed fundraising, investment portfolios, and financial risk assessment.
Earlier, he served as CFO of Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank, overseeing treasury, taxation, business planning, and corporate governance. His expertise in financial structuring and investor relations contributed significantly to capital management and strategic growth.
Pradeep also had a tenure of over a decade at Idea Cellular Ltd, where he held multiple leadership roles, including Head of Finance for Mumbai Service Area, Head of Enterprise Risk Management, and Head of Investor Relations. He was instrumental in handling IPOs, QIPs, and major fundraising initiatives, along with managing financial planning and compliance.
His early career at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited spanned nearly 10 years, where he held roles in corporate treasury, retail pricing strategy, and financial planning. His contributions included cash and fund management, credit rating, and retail business profitability analysis.
A highly qualified finance professional, Pradeep Agrawal holds credentials as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), and Cost & Works Accountant (CWA), reflecting his deep expertise in financial governance, risk management, and business strategy.
