Gurugram, Haryana, India, October 2025 — Google has announced the appointment of Ragini Das as Head of Google for Startups – India. In this leadership role, she will focus on empowering Indian founders by connecting them with Google’s global resources, products, expertise, and networks to accelerate their startup journeys.
Prior to this appointment, Ragini was the Co-Founder of leap.club, a pioneering social-professional network for women. Under her leadership, leap.club scaled to over 25,000 paid members, generated $3M+ in revenue, launched new products, curated communities, and raised $2.2M in funding with an investor base where 50% were women—making it one of the most impactful women-centric professional platforms in India.
Before leap.club, Ragini played a transformative role at Zomato, where she was part of the founding team of Zomato Gold, scaling it from 0 to 2 million users and launching across ~10 international markets including Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Qatar, and Lebanon. Her earlier career at Zomato also involved leading sales and account management, product launches, training, and team leadership across Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Delhi, where she won the company’s first-ever “spark award” for driving culture.
She began her career with Trident Group India as a frontline entrepreneur managing U.S. and European markets, followed by short stints at Standard Chartered Bank and Aludecor during her early career. These roles provided her with deep insights into marketing, client management, and business development.
Ragini holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management (First Class Honours) from Lancaster University, UK.
Her appointment at Google reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening the startup ecosystem in India, one of the fastest-growing hubs for entrepreneurship globally.
