Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, January 2026 – Rana Mohiuddin has been appointed as Head of Technology, Marketing & COO at Westpac, stepping into a strategic role that brings together technology leadership, marketing enablement, and operational oversight. In this position, Rana will drive integrated execution across consumer technology platforms, risk and regulatory programs, and the expansion of Westpac’s engineering capabilities.
Rana has built a long and progressive career of over a decade at Westpac, most recently serving as Head of Technology for close to two years, where she was responsible for technology delivery of the Consumer division’s risk and regulatory transformation and for scaling the Gold Coast Engineering Hub. Prior to this, she spent over five years as Business Manager supporting the General Manager Application Development in Group Technology and the CIO Consumer & Business Banking, contributing to major modernization and governance initiatives.
Earlier in her Westpac journey, Rana led the Banking Executive Accountability Regime (BEAR) Program as Program Manager, and subsequently held roles as Project Manager and Operations Manager, gaining deep exposure to enterprise change delivery and operational excellence. Her foundational years included contributions to the Westpac Foundation, supporting community investment programs, and earlier roles in Workforce Optimisation and frontline banking, giving her a broad end-to-end understanding of the bank’s ecosystem.
Through these varied responsibilities at Westpac, Rana has developed a distinctive blend of technology acumen, business management, and customer-centric operations expertise. Her appointment reflects Westpac’s confidence in her ability to align technology and marketing with the bank’s broader purpose of creating better futures for customers and communities.
