Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 — Ravi Annavarapu has taken over as the Chief Executive Officer at Calibre Chemicals Private Limited, a leading Indian specialty chemicals company backed by Everstone. In his new role, Ravi will spearhead Calibre’s strategic direction, operations, and global expansion across its key product lines including iodine derivatives, persulfates, and perchlorates.
Before joining Calibre Chemicals, Ravi had a distinguished 12-year career at FMC Corporation, where he last served as President for India and South West Asia. In this capacity, he oversaw a $400 million agrochemical business, managed a workforce of over 800 employees and 2,000+ contractors, and played a key role in driving growth across India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Prior to that, he held senior global and regional roles including Global Marketing Director and Global Business Director within FMC’s Health and Nutrition division in Philadelphia.
Ravi’s early career includes impactful stints as Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where he led strategic and operational transformation projects for global chemical industry clients. He also conducted pioneering nanotechnology research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), contributing a patentable innovation as part of the DuPont-MIT Alliance.
Ravi holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT, an MBA in Finance from MIT Sloan School of Management, and a dual B.Tech and M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. His combination of scientific expertise and strategic leadership makes him uniquely positioned to guide Calibre Chemicals through its next phase of global growth and innovation.
