His distinguished career includes leadership roles at Jindal Steel & Power, Welspun India, Adani Power, Spice Energy, and most recently at Jai Raj Steel, where he served as President & CHRO overseeing HR across four high-growth business units.

During his tenure at Jindal Steel & Power, Ravi led HR and administration at the Angul mega plant—managing a 25,000-strong workforce—and played a key role in driving workforce strategies for one of India’s largest greenfield steel expansions. He has also been instrumental in leading HR operations for multi-site power projects at Adani and Jindal Power, including a 2400 MW expansion project delivered in record time under his guidance.

Ravi Shankar’s contributions to the HR domain have been widely acclaimed, earning him prestigious awards such as the ATD Best Award (2018), ATD Practice & Citation Award (2015), Dale Carnegie Global Leadership Award, and the People Matters Learning Transformation Award. Under his leadership, Jindal Power was recognized among India’s Top 50 Great Places to Work in 2015, and he has consistently been featured in top HR leader lists by reputed media houses.

Ravi holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from L.N. Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change (LNMI) and completed the Advanced Human Resource Management (AHRM) program from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.

His appointment underscores Shyam Metallics’ commitment to strengthening its human capital strategy and building a high-performance culture to support its ambitious expansion roadmap.
