Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, December 2025 – Renee Stevens Brown has been promoted to the role of Vice President, Human Resources – Mid Central Region at Sysco, the global leader in foodservice distribution. In her expanded leadership mandate, Renee will oversee regional people strategy, leadership capability development, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives across Sysco’s Mid Central operations.
At Sysco, Renee has built a strong reputation as a strategic HR leader. Prior to this promotion, she served as Human Resources Director, where she led multi-location HR governance, strengthened leadership pipelines, and implemented people strategies that enhanced workforce engagement and operational stability across regional distribution centers.
Before joining Sysco, Renee spent over two years with Bauer Hockey as Human Resources Manager, where she led talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR operations for manufacturing and corporate teams, supporting workforce performance and culture integration.
Earlier in her career, she held a leadership role at Amazon as Operations Manager – Learning & Total Quality, where she drove large-scale onboarding programs, learning infrastructure, and quality frameworks supporting rapid operational growth and workforce readiness.
Renee also brings over a decade of leadership experience from Target, where she served in multiple leadership and HR roles including Store Director, Campus Recruiter, and Human Resources Business Partner, developing leadership pipelines, driving retail performance, and strengthening HR practices across multi-store operations.
