New York, United States, February 2026 — Ankura has announced that Richard Collura has been named Senior Managing Director, bringing nearly three decades of experience in forensic accounting, investigations, dispute consulting, expert testimony, and auditing. In his new role, he will continue advising clients on complex financial investigations, asset tracing, bankruptcy matters, and litigation-driven engagements across industries.
Prior to joining Ankura, Richard Collura served for several years as Partner & Managing Director at AlixPartners, where he led high-profile engagements spanning forensic accounting, fraud and financial investigations, complex bankruptcy litigation, and expert witness services. During this period, he advised companies, boards, creditors, and legal counsel in distressed and turnaround situations, helping stakeholders navigate intricate financial and restructuring challenges.
Earlier, he was Managing Director at Zolfo Cooper, where he specialized in corporate restructuring, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy investigations. His work focused on delivering forensic and investigative expertise in large-scale disputes and restructuring matters, strengthening his reputation as a trusted advisor in high-stakes financial situations.
Before that, Richard Collura held senior leadership roles at Protiviti and FTI Consulting, where he worked extensively in litigation consulting, investigative services, and corporate restructuring. He began his professional career at Ernst & Young, building a strong technical foundation in auditing and financial analysis that has underpinned his subsequent advisory work.
