Amsterdam, Netherlands, January 2026 — Renewi has appointed Richard Ventre as its Chief Information Officer (CIO), with a seat on the company’s Executive Leadership Team, strengthening Renewi’s digital, operational and sustainability-driven transformation agenda.
Aligned with Renewi’s mission to “waste no more,” Richard will lead the enterprise technology, data and digital innovation strategy — enabling safer operations, stronger resilience, and accelerated digital innovation across the circular-economy leader’s extensive European footprint.
In his appointment statement, Richard emphasized the critical role of technology as a true business enabler — improving safety, operational performance, resilience and digital value creation across the organisation.
Prior to joining Renewi, Richard served for over four years as Group Chief Information Officer at SHV Holdings, where he was a member of the Executive Leadership Team of one of the world’s largest privately held multinational trading groups, overseeing global digital transformation across transport, retail, energy, food and financial services.
Earlier, Richard held the position of CIO and Senior Vice President at Adani Ports and SEZ, where he led enterprise digital transformation initiatives supporting Adani’s strategy to become a leading integrated port and logistics organisation.
He previously served as Global IT Director at A.P. Moller–Maersk, driving IT centralisation and large-scale technology transformation across 42 terminals as part of Maersk’s global integrator strategy.
Before that, Richard built deep operational and enterprise IT leadership foundations at Network Rail and CSC, where he led large-scale application, infrastructure and service management operations across the UK and EMEA.
