Dallas, Texas, United States, September 2025 – Rick Wilson-Negron has been appointed as the Vice President of People and Culture at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO). In this leadership role, he will oversee the symphony’s comprehensive HR and people strategy, focusing on fostering a culture of equity, inclusion, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. His responsibilities span recruitment, performance management, labor relations, total rewards, and compliance.
Before joining DSO, Rick Wilson-Negron served as Assistant Vice President, HR Business Partners, Employee Relations & MyHR Solutions Hub at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) for over a year, where he led strategic HR functions aligned with the airport’s mission. His work focused on talent management, employee relations, performance systems, and workforce inclusion, providing direct HRBP support to executive leadership and ensuring compliance across airport divisions.
Prior to that, Rick was Chief People and Operations Officer at Destination Cleveland, where he designed and executed people strategies, oversaw HR, IT, finance, and operations, and championed diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellness initiatives. His leadership contributed to the organization being recognized as a “Top Workplace” for two consecutive years, with workforce inclusion increasing by 20% during his tenure.
Rick also held several senior leadership roles at AT&T, including Global Director – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Global Director – AT&T University Leadership, and Director – Talent Acquisition. Across these roles, he led the development of award-winning DEI strategies, scaled enterprise-wide hiring frameworks, and implemented inclusive leadership development programs that impacted thousands of employees globally.
Earlier in his career, Rick held roles such as Associate Director – Global HR Policy and Associate Director – EEO, Ethics & Compliance, where he supervised global HR governance, policy development, and large-scale ethics investigations. He started his career as an HR Business Partner and project manager for company-wide HR initiatives, laying a strong foundation for his current executive leadership.
