Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — HCLTech has elevated company veteran Sandeep Saxena as Chief Growth Officer – Growth Markets 2, underscoring the organization’s strategic emphasis on India as a critical growth engine. Based in Mumbai, Saxena will spearhead business expansion across India, the Middle East, and Africa, reporting directly to CEO and Managing Director Vijayakumar C. The move aligns with HCLTech’s ambition to deepen its presence in high-potential markets and leverage its full-stack capabilities in AI, digital transformation, and cloud.
Commenting on the appointment, Vijayakumar noted that HCLTech has played a defining role in shaping India’s technology growth story through sustained innovation and global leadership. He emphasized that India’s rapid economic momentum presents a significant opportunity, and the company will deploy its global scale and deep expertise to help enterprises adopt next-generation technologies. Saxena expressed his honor at leading this mandate and reiterated his focus on driving client relevance through innovative, future-ready solutions that deliver measurable real-world impact.
In his most recent role at HCLTech, Sandeep Saxena served as Head of Europe – Consumer Services, TTLH, Retail and Growth Markets (France, Iberia, Africa). Operating from the London Area, United Kingdom, he led a diverse portfolio across multiple geographies, driving full-spectrum digital transformation spanning infrastructure, applications, data, cloud, and business operations with embedded GenAI solutions. He worked closely with CXOs to co-create innovation charters, define growth strategies, and deliver technology-enabled efficiency outcomes.
Earlier, he was Head of Business – UK&I, France and BeNeLux – Diversified Industries, where he orchestrated HCLTech’s entire services portfolio across non-financial services verticals. During this long tenure, he was responsible for customer success and growth across UK, Ireland, France, and BeNeLux, aligning Digital Foundation, Digital Business, and Digital Process Operations to the transformation needs of large enterprises.
In the formative phase of his global career, Saxena served as Head of Business – UK&I (Digital Foundation Services). He relocated to London with the mandate to build and scale the infrastructure services business, leading end-to-end sales strategy for Remote Infrastructure Management services. His leadership helped establish strong “follow-the-sun” delivery models and positioned HCLTech as a trusted partner for automation-led IT modernization.
Prior to joining HCLTech, he held senior sales leadership roles including Regional Sales Manager at HCL COMNET SYSTEMS & SERVICES LIMITED, where he expanded system integration and networking solutions across North India. His earlier assignments at PowerTel Boca Ltd and CROMPTON GREAVES INFORMATICS LIMITED shaped his consultative selling expertise, enabling enterprises to modernize IT networking infrastructure and internet platforms.
Saxena holds a Master’s Degree in Laser and Optical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (1989–1995), a foundation that blends deep technical rigor with business acumen.
