With nearly three decades of experience in IT services, staffing, marketing, and strategic operations, Shawn will spearhead the company’s growth initiatives, operational excellence, and client delivery across its core verticals.
Prior to joining SSi People, Shawn Handley served as Chief Marketing Officer at Apex Systems, where he spent over 28 years in roles of increasing responsibility. As CMO, he led global marketing, business development, PR, proposal management, and the adoption of generative AI. He played a key role in Apex’s M&A activities, overseeing six acquisitions and establishing strategic marketing infrastructure for a multi-billion-dollar global IT services firm.
Shawn’s earlier leadership roles at Apex included Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Vice President of Business Development, and Director of National Accounts – Finance, where he consistently delivered revenue growth and led high-performing cross-functional teams. From his early days as Technical Recruiter and Managing Director, he rose through the ranks by building deep client relationships, expanding regional operations, and modernizing brand positioning.
In July 2025, he also joined Asymbl as an Advisory Board Member, supporting their mission to revolutionize staffing using AI-powered digital teammates and Salesforce-native recruiting solutions.
Shawn is known for his strengths in strategic marketing, cross-functional leadership, digital transformation, and customer experience, and his leadership is expected to significantly contribute to SSi People’s continued evolution as a high-performance staffing partner.
