Anil Jadli Appointed Director (HR) at NTPC

New Delhi, India, August 23, 2024 — Shri Anil Jadli has officially taken charge as Director (HR) of NTPC, India’s largest power generation utility, as of August 23, 2024. Shri Jadli’s journey at NTPC began in 1993 when he joined as an Executive Trainee. His rise from this humble beginning to the leadership position in HR reflects his dedication, commitment, and hard work.

An accomplished professional, Shri Jadli holds a postgraduate degree in Organic Chemistry from Garhwal University and a postgraduate diploma in Business Management with a specialization in Human Resource Management from MDI, Gurgaon. He further enhanced his leadership skills with training from ESCP-EAP (Paris, Berlin, and Turin).

Spanning over three decades, Shri Jadli’s career at NTPC has been marked by significant contributions across both line and HR functions. After nearly a decade in line function roles, he transitioned to HR in 2004, where he managed various HR responsibilities across different NTPC projects, eventually becoming Head of HR. In 2020, he joined Corporate HR, where he played a crucial role in shaping and executing various HR strategies and initiatives.

Shri Jadli is a firm advocate of the “people before PLF” (Plant Load Factor) philosophy, emphasizing the importance of employee well-being and development as key to organizational success. With his wealth of experience, Shri Jadli is poised to lead NTPC’s HR division to new heights in the coming years.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
