Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, March 2025 – Stacey Leake has joined McInnes Wilson Lawyers as the new Head of People & Culture. In her new role, Stacey will lead the firm’s people strategy, focusing on enhancing employee experience, fostering talent development, and aligning HR initiatives with business goals across the firm’s national footprint.
Prior to this appointment, Stacey Leake served for over five years at QIC, where she held several HR leadership roles, most recently as Human Resources Business Manager. Throughout her tenure, she contributed to strategic human resource planning, succession management, and cultural transformation initiatives within the organization. She also played a key role in high-impact projects as part of the Queensland Future Fund.

Before joining QIC, Stacey spent more than nine years at Norton Rose Fulbright, holding progressive HR positions including Human Resources Manager, Senior HR Advisor, and a secondment as Remuneration & Benefits Manager. In her role as HR Manager, she oversaw the Brisbane office’s operational HR functions, implementing policies focused on talent retention, performance, and engagement.
Earlier in her career, Stacey held positions as Human Resources Advisor at Norton Rose Fulbright and contributed to multiple HR initiatives, working closely with leadership on talent strategy and team development. Her extensive experience in both legal and financial services sectors has equipped her with a deep understanding of the unique people needs of professional services firms.
