Lewisville, Texas, United States, July 2024 – Stephanie Walsh has joined Orthofix as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). With her extensive background in human resources and transformation initiatives, Stephanie is set to bring a wealth of experience and strategic insight to Orthofix.
Stephanie Walsh joins Orthofix after an impressive 11-year tenure at ResMed, where she held several senior leadership positions. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Transformation, supporting enterprise-wide initiatives and partnering with the executive team to implement new operating models and diagnose issues that were barriers to strategy execution. Prior to this role, Stephanie was the Vice President of People – SaaS, where she led a team of business partners and center of excellence partners, creating and driving people strategy in alignment with business objectives for 2.4K employees globally.
During her time at ResMed, Stephanie also held the position of Senior Director, People – Digital Health Technology, where she defined people processes and strategies to support the enterprise’s pivot from a medical device-centered to a technology-led business model. She executed multiple organizational design initiatives, amplified recruitment efforts, and unified IT and software teams.
Before her roles in digital health technology, Stephanie was the Senior Director of Organizational Design, collaborating with McKinsey to support a significant operating model transformation. She also served as the Senior Director of Global Talent Management, where she launched the inaugural global employee engagement program and transformed the enterprise’s talent philosophy.
Stephanie’s earlier roles at ResMed include Director of Talent Acquisition – Americas, where she transformed the talent acquisition function and improved hiring manager satisfaction significantly. She began her career at ResMed as the Associate Director of Human Resources – Business Partner, Operations & Quality, and later for Europe, Middle East & Africa, where she provided critical support and solved talent challenges in an expat role in Cambridge, UK.
Before joining ResMed, Stephanie gained valuable experience at Illumina, where she served in various HR roles, including Associate Director of Human Resources and Senior Manager of Talent Management. She drove the implementation of staffing functions and organizational development interventions across global operations.
Stephanie’s career also includes roles at Sempra International and Life Technologies (Invitrogen), where she managed HR programs and M&A integration efforts.
