Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Tanmay Prusty has been appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer at Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, where he will lead brand strategy, consumer engagement, and market expansion. With a deep understanding of digital transformation and data-driven strategies, he will enhance Crompton’s presence in the competitive consumer electricals sector. His leadership is expected to bring a fresh perspective to marketing initiatives, strengthening customer loyalty and optimizing brand communication.
Tanmay Prusty brings extensive experience from his tenure at Tata Consumer Products, where he spent nearly five years in various senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Business/Category Head – Capital Foods (Chings/S&J), overseeing business growth and market expansion. Prior to that, he was Vice President & Head of National Brands, managing a diverse portfolio of brands and leading strategic marketing initiatives. He also held the position of General Manager & Head of National Brands, where he played a crucial role in brand positioning and consumer engagement for India’s top beverage brands.
Before Tata Consumer Products, he was with OYO, where he served as Vice President, Business Unit Head. In this role, he led the South India Region, driving business growth, managing a large team, and overseeing an INR 1,800 crore+ GMV portfolio. Earlier, he spent nearly four years at Amazon, where he was Category Head for Audio, TV, and Musical Instruments, responsible for P&L management, category strategy, and launching prominent brands like Boat, Sanyo, and TCL in India.
His earlier experience includes over three years at Reckitt, where he served as Marketing Manager for Dettol’s Hand Hygiene Category, successfully driving Dettol’s market share growth. He was also Senior Brand Manager, New Products & Innovation, launching key products like Dettol Healthy Kitchen Gel and expanding the brand into new categories. His career began at ITC Limited, where he spent over seven years in multiple brand and sales leadership roles, working across Fiama Di Wills, Gold Flake, Benson & Hedges, and ITC Foods.
Tanmay Prusty holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. His extensive expertise in consumer behavior, digital transformation, and strategic marketing will be instrumental in driving Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited’s vision for innovation and customer-centric growth.
