Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — The Sleep Company has appointed Udhay S as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, Udhay will lead the organisation’s people strategy, with a focus on strengthening employer branding, building future-ready talent, and enhancing employee experience across stores, warehouses, and corporate functions.
With over 17 years of HR leadership experience across leading retail and consumer brands, Udhay brings deep expertise in talent acquisition, employee engagement, capability building, rewards, and HR analytics. He has consistently partnered with business and promoter leadership to redesign organisations, optimise costs, and build inclusive, performance-driven cultures at scale.
Prior to joining The Sleep Company, Udhay served as Head of HR at Metro Brands Limited, where he played a pivotal role in revamping HR practices and strengthening people processes across the organisation during a phase of significant growth and transformation.
Before Metro Brands, Udhay spent over a decade with Landmark Group as Lead Business HR, supporting large-format retail operations across stores, regional offices, and warehouses. His work focused on aligning HR strategy with business objectives in complex, multi-location retail environments.
Earlier in his career, he worked as Human Resources Business Partner at Big Bazaar – Future Retail, gaining hands-on exposure to frontline retail HR operations. He began his professional journey as a Recruitment Specialist at Vodafone, building a strong foundation in talent acquisition and workforce planning.
In his role as CHRO, Udhay S will spearhead The Sleep Company’s people agenda, supporting its rapid growth trajectory while reinforcing a high-performance culture aligned with the organisation’s comfort-tech innovation ethos.
