Trondheim, Trøndelag, Norway, December 2025 — Alva Industries has appointed Thomas Bergan as its new Chief Operating Officer in a full-time, on-site role based in Trondheim, Trøndelag, Norway. In his new position, he will be responsible for driving operations, scaling industrial capabilities and supporting Alva Industries’ ambition to deliver high-end electric motors with superior efficiency, torque density and reliability.
Before joining Alva Industries, Thomas Bergan served as EVP Operations at Beyonder in Stavanger/Sandnes, Rogaland, Norway for around one year and seven months in a full-time, on-site role. In this senior operations position, he focused on building and leading operations in a company dedicated to advanced energy solutions, leveraging his strengths in strategisk tenking, analytiske ferdigheter and konsernledelse to support growth and industrial performance.
Prior to his role at Beyonder, Thomas spent approximately two years and seven months with FREYR Battery as SVP Production Mo i Rana in Mo i Rana, Nordland, Norway in a full-time role. At FREYR Battery, a Norwegian company developing a lithium-ion battery facility and working towards decarbonizing transportation and energy systems, he played a key part in leading production operations, applying his expertise in strategisk tenking, fabrikker and drift in an emerging, sustainability-focused industrial environment.
Earlier, Thomas Bergan built significant leadership experience at Agility Subsea Fabrication AS, where he worked for about two years and one month in full-time roles. He initially served as VP Production in Tønsberg, Vestfold, Norway and was later elevated to Chief Executive Officer in Skien, Vestfold og Telemark, Norway. Across these roles, he combined operational responsibility with strategic leadership, drawing on his capabilities in strategisk tenking, drift, analytiske ferdigheter and konsernledelse to steer fabrication and subsea-related operations.
Over the earlier stages of his career, Thomas gained deep operational and industrial experience across several Norwegian companies. He worked as Produksjonsdirektør at H-Vinduet Fjerdingstad AS in Hokksund, Buskerud, Norway for about seven months, focusing on strategisk tenking, fabrikker, drift, analytiske ferdigheter and konsernledelse in a production setting. Before that, he spent roughly seven years and four months as Operations Manager at Autronica Fire and Security AS in Tønsberg, where he strengthened his skills in fabrikker, drift and analytiske ferdigheter.
Earlier still, he served as Production Manager at NLI Alfr. Andersen for around two years and nine months, working on fabrikker, drift and produksjonsplanlegging, and held multiple roles at Infineon Technologies SensoNor AS over approximately six years and five months, including Maintenace Manager, Logistics Manager and Financial Controller, developing a strong foundation in drift, internasjonal logistikk, produksjonsplanlegging and analytiske ferdigheter.
