Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, April 2025 – Tim King has stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer, Environmental Services at Veolia Australia and New Zealand, marking a significant elevation in his leadership journey within the company. In this role, Tim will be responsible for leading a team of over 3,000 resourcers across Veolia’s waste collections and specialised treatment operations throughout Australia.
Prior to this appointment, Tim King served as Chief Growth Officer at Veolia, where he led strategic growth and M&A initiatives across the company’s waste, water, and energy portfolios. His leadership in this role was pivotal in shaping the company’s future-ready expansion efforts and in aligning commercial goals with sustainability imperatives.
Before that, Tim held the position of Chief Transformation Officer, where he led a range of business transformation programs to improve operational resilience and innovation across the organisation. He also served as Director of Corporate Development, overseeing critical investment strategies and partnership models that enhanced Veolia’s market footprint in the region.
Earlier in his career, Tim spent five years at ANZ as Director, M&A, advising listed and private clients on complex transaction structures. His M&A expertise was also shaped by roles as Vice President, Investment Banking at Investec, and Associate, Macquarie Capital, where he advised on equity capital markets and natural resources sector transactions.
Tim began his career at ASIC, initially as a Graduate/Lawyer and later as Senior Lawyer, working on public market M&A and equity capital market oversight. His deep understanding of regulatory frameworks continues to inform his strategic execution at the highest level.
