Greater Newcastle Area, New South Wales, Australia, April 2025 – Troy Wright has joined Pacific Smiles Group as the Chief People Officer, where he will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent strategy, organizational development, and people transformation initiatives for the dental care provider’s expansive network across Australia.
Prior to joining Pacific Smiles Group, Troy Wright was Head of People and Culture, ANZ at Sonova Group, a global hearing care leader, where he contributed significantly to regional HR strategy, workforce planning, and leadership development across Australia and New Zealand.
Before that, he served as Vice President Human Resources, North America at Covetrus, leading HR for a $6 billion division. He managed a team of HR Directors and supported diverse functions such as Sales, Operations, and eCommerce while driving transformation, workforce planning, and performance culture across the region.
Earlier, he held roles as Senior Director and Director of HR for APAC and Emerging Markets at Covetrus. Across these positions, he oversaw HR across multiple geographies including Australia, China, Brazil, and New Zealand, aligning regional operations with global people strategies and executing workforce transitions, HRIS rollouts, and cultural change programs.
His earlier experience includes leadership roles at Henry Schein, Provet Holdings, and IHG Hotels & Resorts, where he gained deep cross-functional exposure to employee engagement, industrial relations, and learning and development across ANZ.
