Frankston, Victoria, Australia, March 2025 – Trudy Ararat has stepped into a new role as Executive Director People, Culture and Governance at Peninsula Health, where she will lead the organization’s People and Culture, Legal Services, Risk, Compliance and Privacy, and Board Secretary teams. This marks a significant expansion of her leadership responsibilities, reinforcing her continued impact within the health sector.
Trudy has been with Peninsula Health for nearly nine years, during which she has held several key leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Chief Legal Officer, where she oversaw legal strategy and risk governance, while also acting as the Executive Director, People, Workplace Safety and Wellbeing for eight months. Earlier, as Director of Clinical Risk & Legal Services, she led clinical governance initiatives and legal advisory for nearly nine years.

Beyond Peninsula Health, Trudy contributes to public governance and community health through various non-executive roles, including her position as an Independent Member of the Audit & Risk Committee at Frankston City Council and as a Non-Executive Director at St John Ambulance (Vic). She previously served on the boards of Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Dolphin Research Institute, reflecting her commitment to health, education, and community well-being.
Before joining Peninsula Health, Trudy built her legal career at MinterEllison, where she spent over eight years, progressing to Special Counsel with a specialization in health law, medical negligence defense, and privacy law. Earlier in her career, she served as Assistant Director of Nursing at The Valley Private Hospital, combining her clinical expertise with legal acumen.
