Extensive Background in Finance and Strategic Growth
Sarah Gitau brings to VanMoof a profound depth of experience and a proven track record of financial leadership and strategic expansion. Prior to her new role at VanMoof, Gitau served as the Chief Financial Officer at UNGA, where she was instrumental in driving financial strategies and business growth. Her tenure at UNGA saw her leading finance, HR, IT, and facility operations across multiple international markets, including the UK, China, Hong Kong, Australia, and Russia.
Before UNGA, Gitau made significant contributions as Finance Director, where she was responsible for scaling up the finance and back office functions, demonstrating her ability to lead and innovate in fast-paced environments. Her earlier roles also include pivotal positions at HEINEKEN, where as Business Controller, she oversaw financial operations for the company’s largest Western Europe Operating Companies, and at EY, where she began her career in finance.
