Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — Vinutha Mufti has been appointed as Director, Business Human Resources at Abbott India, effective December 16, 2025. Stepping into this key leadership mandate as Rajan Kalantre transitions to another Abbott affiliate, she brings more than two decades of rich HR leadership experience. Having been associated with Abbott for nearly ten years across the Nutrition and Pharmaceuticals businesses, she continues to strengthen the company’s people strategy, talent agenda, and leadership capability framework.
Immediately prior to her new role, Vinutha served as Human Resources Director at Abbott, where she led large-scale HR transformation and business partnering initiatives across critical business verticals. Before this, she progressed through leadership roles including Associate Director – HR, Head – BHR, and Senior Manager – BHR, contributing significantly to strengthening Abbott’s people development systems, enhancing stakeholder alignment, and driving employee life cycle excellence across diverse business units.
Before joining Abbott, Vinutha spent more than ten years at IBM, where she built a strong foundation in HR leadership. Her experience spanned roles such as Sr. Manager HR – Sales Eminence, HR Business Partner – Sales, Talent Manager, and Assistant Manager – HR, giving her deep exposure to workforce engagement, capability building, HR strategy, high-potential talent development, and leadership enablement across one of the world’s most complex and scaled organizations.
Vinutha began her career in consulting at CHR Services Pvt. Ltd, where she worked on business process re-engineering projects for clients such as JK Tyres, JK Paper, and Sesa Goa. This early exposure to operational excellence, organizational restructuring, and project-based HR interventions shaped her analytical problem-solving style and established her grounding in strategic HR transformation.
