Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2024 – Hemin Bharucha is pleased to announce his new role as Regional Director-India & Middle East at London & Partners. He expresses his gratitude for the support and guidance he has received throughout his journey.
Hemin joined London & Partners in June 2017 as Country Director – India, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the organization’s presence and influence in the region. Over his seven years in this role, he successfully fostered relationships with key stakeholders and facilitated numerous business engagements that benefited both India and London. His dedication and leadership have now earned him the position of Regional Director-India & Middle East, where he will continue to drive strategic initiatives and strengthen partnerships.
Prior to his tenure at London & Partners, Hemin worked with Scottish Development International for over five years. Initially, he served as the Director – West & South India, where he built a vast network of CXO-level contacts and government policymakers. He effectively influenced Indian companies to invest and expand their businesses in Scotland. Later, he stepped up as the Interim Country Head, managing SDI’s overall operations in India, ensuring the delivery of excellence and targets, and providing strategic intelligence to senior leadership.
Before his role at Scottish Development International, Hemin was the Country Manager – Yorkshire Forward at the British High Commission from December 2007 to February 2011. In this position, he facilitated the expansion of Indian companies into the UK, participated in multi-million-pound joint ventures, and exceeded annual targets, contributing significantly to the economic relations between India and the UK.
Hemin’s career began with Sabtex Limited, where he served as a Partner for over 12 years. He established Sabtex-India in 1995, growing the business from a modest US$ 2 million to an impressive US$ 16 million by 2006. His role involved managing and developing the business for major US and global brands, sourcing products across the sub-continent, and negotiating business opportunities with leading Indian companies.
