Rhonda Nelson has been with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP for approximately 9 years and 3 months. Prior to her current role, she served as the Acting Chief Human Resources Officer for about 11 months, where she was responsible for steering the global human resources vision for the firm across 19 international locations. Rhonda played a key role in talent management for over 1,400 professionals, delivering innovative HR strategies that encompassed performance management, employee relations, competitive compensation planning, and the deployment of HRIS systems.

Before that, Rhonda held the position of Senior Director – Firmwide Human Resources for nearly 8 years. In this role, she was a transformative leader in human capital development within global legal sectors, strategically aligning HR objectives with the organization’s mission. She emphasized innovation, diversity, inclusion, and change management.

Earlier in her career, Rhonda was the Firmwide Human Resources Manager at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP for about 1 year and 3 months, where she was responsible for the administration of HR operations, including performance reviews, compensation processes, and staffing analyses.

Prior to joining Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, Rhonda worked at Randstad Work Solutions for approximately 11 years as a Senior Branch Manager. She specialized in office clerical and accounting & finance support, offering high-end executive administrative support for C-level executives.

Rhonda’s earlier career includes roles as a Job Developer/ESL Coordinator at Catholic Social Services and a Senior Account Executive at Roy Communications.
