São Paulo, Brazil, July 2024 – Nathalia Barbosa Tupinambá has begun her new position as CHRO | Pessoas, Cultura e ESG at LWSA. In this role, Nathalia will be responsible for overseeing the company’s human resources, culture, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. Her leadership will drive the development and implementation of strategies that align with LWSA’s business goals and values.
Nathalia brings a wealth of experience in HR and strategic leadership to her new role. Prior to joining LWSA, she served as a Board Member at SOWING, where she contributed to the strategic direction and governance of the organization.
She spent nearly four years at McKinsey & Company, where she worked in various roles, including Engagement Manager and Associate, focusing on People, Organization, and Performance practice initiatives. During her tenure, Nathalia led primary projects that enhanced organizational efficiency and employee engagement.
Before McKinsey, Nathalia was an HR Business Partner at Braskem in Frankfurt, Germany. There, she executed an international expansion strategic plan to open Braskem’s Commercial Japan office and implemented intercultural and diversity workshops to improve communication between the Europe office and the Brazilian headquarters. She also mapped HR processes and benefits differences intra-continents and created HR technology tools to replace manual operations.
Nathalia’s early career includes significant roles at Odebrecht, where she worked for nearly five years in various HR organizational development positions. She structured and implemented trainee recruitment and training programs, designed onboarding programs, and created diversity initiatives that significantly increased the number of disabled employees, including those on offshore platforms.
Her journey in HR began as an intern at Odebrecht S.A., where she designed and implemented strategies for a new e-learning platform and was responsible for corporate training programs for leadership.
