Kochi, Kerala, India, September 2024 – Sutanu Chowdhury has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources Officer at Sylcon Group. In this role, Chowdhury will lead HR initiatives across Sylcon Shoes, Retail, and F&B divisions.
Chowdhury most recently served as Founder & Chief Executive at UGO HR Consulting, a position he has held for approximately two years. At UGO HR Consulting, he provided HR consulting services, focusing on talent solutions and leadership coaching.
Before that, Chowdhury was Director of OD Consulting, Leadership & Research at Talent Element Training & Consultancy for about five months. He contributed to organizational development and leadership training during his tenure.
Chowdhury’s previous role was Chief Human Resources Officer at Spencer’s Retail, where he worked for over two years. In this role, he managed HR and administration for a large workforce across corporate and regional operations.
Prior to Spencer’s Retail, Chowdhury served as Sr. Vice President – HR at Max Hypermarket India Pvt. Ltd – SPAR for approximately four years. He was responsible for HR and administration across multiple hypermarkets and distribution centers.
Chowdhury also has experience as Vice President – HR at Mahindra Logistics, where he worked for nearly four years overseeing HR, industrial relations, and safety for a major logistics player.
