Before this, he served as Head of HR – BAT South Asia Area in Lahore, Pakistan, where he established and scaled the HR function for the business, supporting workforce growth from approximately 150 to 450 employees within a year.

In that role, he worked on talent and rewards projects for more than 200 clients, with a focus on organisational effectiveness, compensation design and grading reviews. With more than 13 years of HR and consulting experience, Hartanto now brings his combination of local, regional and global HR leadership experience to BAT Indonesia’s people agenda.
