Hong Kong SAR – November 2024 – Amanda Hyndman has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, marking a significant milestone in her illustrious career within luxury hospitality. With over 30 years of experience, including 18 years at Mandarin Oriental, Hyndman has held pivotal roles across the globe, from General Manager positions in Bangkok and Washington, D.C., to her recent role as Chief People & Culture Officer. Her deep commitment to excellence and understanding of Mandarin Oriental’s brand make her exceptionally suited to drive the Group’s operational and cultural vision forward.

Amanda also served as Area Vice President for London, Munich, and Prague, leading luxury properties in these prominent locations with a focus on elevating brand standards and enhancing guest experiences. Her earlier career includes notable tenure as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental’s flagship properties in Bangkok and Washington, D.C., where she achieved exceptional performance metrics in customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Amanda’s career spans beyond Mandarin Oriental, with foundational roles in leadership at Waldorf Hilton and Le Meridien, followed by her time as General Manager for Millennium & Copthorne Hotels across several UK locations. Her broad international experience and passion for the hospitality industry underscore her contributions to Mandarin Oriental’s success.
