Sebastien Froidefond Appointed as Chief People Officer at Ubisoft

Paris, Île-de-France, France, November 2024 – Sebastien Froidefond has been named Chief People Officer at Ubisoft, a role he will officially assume on November 20, 2024. Bringing an extensive background in HR leadership and strategic transformation, Froidefond is set to lead the company’s global people strategy, fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity that aligns with Ubisoft’s mission to create exceptional gaming experiences.

Froidefond most recently served as Human Resources Lead for the Americas at Groupe Lactalis, where he was instrumental in shaping HR policies and driving organizational excellence over the past two years.

Prior to this, he founded Froidefond & Co SASU, an HR and ESG advisory firm, where he provided strategic insights on HR policies and corporate strategies to diverse organizations.

Froidefond also held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Coty Inc., overseeing global HR initiatives that supported the company’s transformation and business growth during his tenure.

Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 14 years at Sanofi, ascending to roles such as HR Vice President for Consumer Healthcare and HR Vice President for Intercontinental Operations, where he led large-scale HR transformations across multiple regions, including Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

His earlier experience includes HR and finance roles at Bouygues Group, where he gained expertise in business administration, finance controlling, and HR management.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
