Edinburgh, Scotland, December 2024 – Ruth Findlay has been appointed as Head of People Engagement, Wellbeing & Inclusion at Scottish Water. In this newly assumed role, Ruth will spearhead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, foster workplace wellbeing, and drive the inclusion agenda across the organization. Her extensive experience in communications and strategic leadership positions her perfectly to support Scottish Water’s mission of delivering essential services to communities across Scotland.
Ruth has had an impressive tenure of over 22 years at Scottish Water, where she most recently served as Head of Internal Communications. In this capacity, she led teams responsible for communication strategies, content management, events, and transformation communications. Her strategic oversight ensured effective internal alignment and engagement during pivotal organizational changes.
Before joining Scottish Water, Ruth held key roles at the Bank of Scotland, where she was Associate Director, Internal Communications, overseeing global corporate communications for the Corporate and International division. She also served as a Non-Executive Director at Carnegie College, chairing its Audit Committee and contributing her expertise in governance, financial management, and strategic direction.
