Basel, Switzerland, December 2024 – Jayshree Agarwal has commenced her new role as Global Functional COE Lead for Talent, Skill, Performance Management, and HR Digital – Workday HCM Program at Novartis. In this capacity, Jayshree will lead efforts to elevate HR and digital strategies, shaping innovative solutions across 120+ countries to drive impactful outcomes for teams and patients globally.
Jayshree has been with Novartis for over nine years, showcasing her expertise in global HR leadership and digital transformation. Most recently, she served as the Global HR Functional Leader, spearheading the implementation of the Workday Global platform across 100,000+ employees in 100+ countries. Her contributions included designing integrated talent solutions, driving strategic workforce planning, and aligning global HR practices with legal, fiscal, and regulatory standards.

Previously, she held the role of Global Leader for Talent Strategy and Management, where she delivered robust talent agendas, initiated leadership development programs, and harmonized career paths across mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs. Her tenure also included serving as HR Business Partner and Diversity and Inclusion Lead, managing transformation initiatives and fostering a culture of inclusion and capability building.
Before joining Novartis, Jayshree spent nine years at Wipro, holding various leadership roles in talent strategy and acquisition, workforce planning, and HR business partnerships across geographies. Her achievements included leading M&A integrations, talent transformations, and workforce planning for over 130 clients in Europe and the UK.
Jayshree began her career at Hindalco Industries, where she gained experience in ERP HR module implementation, legal compliance, and career banding for manufacturing units.
Jayshree holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Xavier Institute of Social Service, solidifying her foundation in strategic HR and organizational development.
