Hyderabad, Telangana, India, January 2025 – Nayanabhiram Deekonda has been appointed as SVP & Chief of People, Product & Growth at Bira 91, a leading beer brand known for its modern, flavorful brews. In this new role, he will continue to drive the company’s people strategy, product innovation, and growth initiatives, emphasizing strategic transformation and leadership alignment across the organization.
Nayanabhiram Deekonda has been with Bira 91 for approximately a year, most recently serving as VP, People, Product & Growth, where he played a pivotal role in leading the company’s HR functions, strategy, and product communications. Prior to this, he served as VP, Restaurants (Bira 91 Taprooms & Microbreweries), overseeing operations for the brand’s taprooms and microbreweries across India. He also contributed significantly as VP, Growth (Strategy & New Initiatives), focusing on direct-to-consumer channels and digital transformation strategies.

Before rejoining Bira 91, Deekonda was the Co-Founder & CEO of Anthill Spirits, where he led the development of the premium beverage startup for over a year. He previously held multiple leadership roles at Bira 91, including Director of Sales Analytics & Growth and Director of Sales (West India), where he was responsible for demand forecasting, sales profitability, and P&L management.
Earlier in his career, Deekonda worked at Reckitt as an Area Sales Manager and Sales Development Manager, where he drove expansion projects and strategic sales initiatives. He also worked at D.E. Shaw & Co. as a Software Developer, bringing a diverse mix of skills in technology and commercial growth strategies.
