New York, United States, January 2025 – Simon Harnest has joined Totus Medicines as the Chief Financial Officer, bringing extensive experience in corporate strategy, finance, and investment to the organization. In his new role, Simon will oversee financial operations, drive strategic growth, and support Totus Medicines’ mission of developing life-changing therapeutics for untreatable diseases.
Before joining Totus Medicines, Simon Harnest served as the Chief Investment Officer at Metagenomi, where he played a pivotal role in securing funding and scaling financial operations for nearly four years.

Earlier, Simon held various leadership positions at Cellectis, including Chief Investment Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Finance, where he contributed significantly to corporate development and investment strategies.
Simon also served as Vice President at The Trout Group and Trout Capital LLC, where he managed investor relations and provided strategic financial advisory services to life sciences companies. His early career includes a role as an Associate at Deutsche Bank, where he gained foundational expertise in corporate finance.
